How does AbEX remove excess skin? ›

During the procedure, the surgeon lifts the skin and separates it from the underlying abdominal muscles. If the muscles have become weakened or separated, they are tightened and stitched together to create a firmer abdominal wall. After the muscle repair, the surgeon removes excess skin and fat from the abdomen.

The laser technology used in Sono Bello® can be effective at breaking down fat cells, but it can also cause trauma to surrounding tissue. This can lead to bruising, swelling, and discomfort for several weeks after the procedure.

The drainage can last one to two days. Patients are placed in a compressive garment or binder immediately following the surgery and instructions will be given when to take the first shower, usually one to two days after, and how to progress their activity.

Will my skin retract or tighten after a Sono Bello procedure? A patient's skin will tighten after a liposuction procedure and this is a natural part of the healing process.

The surgeon uses laser technology to heat the subcutaneous fat (under the skin) in the desired body areas. The surgeon then removes the fat through suction using micro cannulas inserted in very small incisions, each about the size of the patient's pinky finger.

Sleeping on your side or stomach after a tummy tuck are both bad options for the healing process. These positions can cause blood pooling in the treatment area, which can make the swelling and bruising much worse. It can also cause the healing process to take longer than usual.
